Phase 2 Re-opening Announcement
Hey everybody, I hope you are all doing well! I have put our phase 2 re-opening plans into writing so you can easily access them. Getting to a “new normal” as it concerns our gatherings for church worship services and related events must be done in such a way that protects the health of our members as well as honors the Lord. Phase two begins this Sunday, June 7. This is detailed below:
Phase 2 (Begins Sunday, June 7)
- Sunday School will begin at 9:30 a.m. Please notice the change from the ordinary start time. We will try this new 9:30 a.m. start time for the Summer.
- Sunday morning worship services will continue as they have been. Our worship service will begin at 10:30 a.m. following Sunday School.
- No Nursery
- No Children’s Church
- Modified Offertory
- We will begin having our Wednesday evening Bible study on Wednesday, June 10 at 7 p.m. This includes all Wednesday night children’s activities as well.
- There will be NO Sunday evening service during Phase 2.
Social Distancing
- Every other pew will be marked off so everyone will have to spread out. We ask that everyone only sit with members of their household.
- We ask that there be no physical contact whatsoever (i.e., handshaking, hugs, etc.)
- We also ask that everyone please stay at least six (6) feet away from any children that are not yours.
- We will not be having nursery during Phase 2. The room itself will be open to any parent who needs it; however, there will not be anyone working nursery.
- The way we collect tithes and offerings will be different during Phase 2. There will be a designated place where you can leave your tithe/offering. This will eliminate the possibility of spreading anything via the offering plate; however, we highly encourage everyone to take advantage of online giving. Simply click here to start giving online.
Phase 2 will last at least two weeks (through June 21). We will release information for Phase 3 in the next couple of weeks. We are looking forward to slowly increasing the times we come together to worship.
Blessings,
Pastor Josh
